Besides the landmarks and nature to see, we have also things to go and enjoy in Georgia. One of such is the annual International Art-house Film Festival held in Batumi, seaside town of Georgia.
The festival was founded in 2006, so, from then on, it has been developing, growing and bringing the films and honorable guests from different countries of the world to Georgia.
In the course of these years, many honorable guests have visited Batumi International Art-house Film Festival including the notable Hungarian film director Béla Tarr, Turkish film director – Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Iranian film director – Abbas Kiarostami, German actress – Nastassja Kinski, and many more.
This year, we shall host Paul Schrader – American screenwriter, famous for the films “Taxi Driver”, “Raging Bull”, “First Reformed”, etc, Denis Lavant – French actor, famous for the films “The Lovers on the Bridge,” “Wild Animals”, Holy Motors, etc, Veit Helmer – german filmmaker, famous for the films “Tuvalu”, “Absurdistan”, Tatiana Detlofson – known for her expertise in foreign cinema and international film and festival promotion, and Gale Anne Hurd, USA (producer of: The Terminator, The Walking Dead, Armageddon, Aliens, etc.).
